Aug 26th: Castlebar Ideal Homes Show 10th -12th Sept.

Carousel Enterprises / Toons & Balloons are proud to be the sponsors of the Family Day at the Castlebar Ideal Homes Show to be held in the Royal Theatre Castlebar on Sat 11th Sept. The family day will include visits from Spongebob & Dora the Explorer / Facepainting & Balloon Models with 3 Puppet Shows at 2.30, 3.30 & 4.30 from the Kidsparty Club Mayo.

The Show will feature a huge collection of stands with information and guidence for all your home & garden requirements.

Carousel Enterprises / Toons & Balloons will have a stand at the Show over the 3 days with information & photos of all our Marquee & Party Hire equipment. So do come along and visit us to discuss all you party & event need. Friday 10th 6-9pm Sat & Sunday 12noon to 6pm.

August 23rd: New Rodeo rides in stock

We have taken delivery of some new Rodeo Rides which are based on the Rodeo Bull concept. August 22nd: Westport Get Out There Festival

This exciting new festival in conjunction with Mayo Sports Partnerships runs an Active Sports event on the Mall Westport today. Carousel Enterprises are providing a huge inflatable Obsticle Course and a Big Bouncy Castle

Sat 31st July Scarriff Festival Family Fun Day from 12 -4pm in the sports field a huge fun day supplied by Carousel Enterprises.

Mon 1st August : Bonnieconlon Show one of the biggest agricultural shows in the country takes place in the small village of Bonnieconlon just 6 miles from Ballina. Featuring a huge menu of classes, horse show, demonstrations, vintage vechicles, big bands and our own special live stage show and giveaway. This massive event is a must see event for all the family

 Sun 8th August: We have been choosen to provide our famous "Knockout Competition" for Enniscrone Festival. This event will take place in the hollow at the rear of the Ocean Sands Hotel from 7pm. Always a fabulous spectacle as the teams go through many crazy challenges to reach the end of the course. Don't miss it 

July 11th: Great Weather for postponed event.

Today was blessed with great sunny weather for the postponed Ballina Salmon Festival Teddybears Picnic. Several thousand children and their families enjoyed a brilliant free afternoons entertainment.

July 4th: Teddybears Picnic Postponed.

Due to very high winds today the famous Ballina Salmon Festival Teddybears Picnic has been postponed untill Sun 18th July in the Town Park Sligo Rd. A decision based on safety concerns because of gusting winds was taken to ensure that no one attending the event would be injured. So put the new date in your diary and make sure you dont miss this great family event.!

June 26th: Dundrum Festival starts.

In a new departure this year Dundrum Festival Family Day will now take place on Main st instead of the usual Airfield House. All the fun of the fair on Main St on Sat & Sun 26/27th from 2 -5pm with Bouncy Castles - Bungee Run -Twister and check out our Famous Milking Cows. dont miss it!

June 24th: Bounceathon a huge success

Congratulations to the schoolchildren from 27 national schools all over county Mayo who particapated in Bounceathon 2010. It has again been a huge success and lots of funds raised for Western Care childhood services.

June 1st: Bounceathon  2010 Starts

The annual Mayo Bounceathon run in conjunction with the Western People in aid of Western Care Childhood services starts today. The first school is Mount Palmer NS in Kincon followed by St Josephs NS Culleens Co Sligo. Thurs 3rd is Lisaniska NS Foxford. A total of 27 schools have joined in so far in this the 7th year. Check out your school and see if you are supporting this very worthy cause. The amount raised so far is €120,000 which was raised by children all over Mayo  for the benifit of other children children with special needs.

 May 31st: Balla Family Fun Day

Next Sunday June 6th Balla Community Council will be holding their 2nd annual Family Funday on the village green from 2pm until 6pm with Bouncy Castles, Slides and Rodeo Bull. A Facepainter for the kids and a BBQ so dont miss it!

May 2nd: West of Ireland Womens Mini Marathon.

The West of Ireland Womens mini Marathon held today in conjunction with the Western People & Mayo Sports Partnership was a massive success with 3000 entrants it was held in glorious sunshine throughtout the streets of Castlebar. We are delighted to be associated with this fantastic event and look forward to an even bigger event next year. The organising team from the Western & the Sports Partnership deserve great praise for their work on this fantasic event, well done to all!

May 1st: Wedding of James & Deirdre O Carroll

Congratulations to Deirdre & James who were married today in Lacken Killala Co Mayo. The reception took place in a custom built marquee on the veranda of Gallahers Kerrymans Inn over looking the Atlantic near Kilcummin.The marquee was designed to cover the veranda and lead directly into the function room. Just another example of the innovative ways we can meet the needs of customers.

April 24th: Wedding of Carrie Budds & Malachy Duggan

Congratulations to Carrie & Malachy who were married yesterday in Galway. The reception for 200 was held in a 2200 sq ft marquee supplied by us in the courtyard of the beautifull ROSS CASTLE outside Moycullen. Catering by Porkies.ie

April 16th: West of Ireland Womens Mini Marathon.

Carousel Enterprises are delighted to be awarded the contract to supply the 1st ever Womens Mini Marathon to take place on May 2nd in Castlebar. The event which is organised by the Western People in conjunction with the Mayo Sports Partnership has attracted a huge number of entries and many local charities will benefit from it.  Our remit is to supply Marquees & Inflatables Slides on the day. We are also supplying the Inflatable Arches for the start & finish and the DJ to compere the event. This will be a fantastic free event on the beautifull Mall area of Castlebar, the race starts at  noon from the courthouse. Entries can be sent to mailto:msp@mayococo.ie

April 3rd: New Crazy Golf available for hire

We have recently added a 9 hole Crazy Golf course to our hire fleet with a great range of obstacles this will be suitable for all ages and abilities. Simply hire any number of holes from 3 -- 9 and we will deliver & set it up in your garden or office, the possibilities are endless!

Also NEW is a Pro AIR HOCKEY table which can be put indoors or outdoors size 2.3m x 1.4m and comes with electronic scoring. A nice touch to add to a teenage or 21st party!

The annual Bounceathon in aid of Western Care Associations childrens services will take place again this year in conjunction with Toons & Balloons & the Western People. This great event is now in its 7th year and has raised over €115,000 to date. Simply book a bouncing castle for your primary school anywhere in Mayo and raise sponsorship for Western Care and the castle is free to the school. A great fun way for kids to help the special needs of other kids in their locality. March 17th: Video DJ now

New to Carousel Enterprises is the latest innovation in mobile discotheques, the Video DJ! Your host will play hits from the 60's through to today's chart and the videos are displayed on big screens. Perfect for giving your event that "Wow" factor. We can also run a live feed of the dance floor through the screens to spread the excitement for your guests and add extra atmosphere. Your company logo or any photographs of your choice can also be displayed during the early part of the event, perfect for company events and even weddings.

Jan 26th 2010: Custom Build advertising inflatables.

Carousel Enterprises are delighted to announce the completion of a very unusual project for the Redemptorist Fathers in Cherry Orchard parish Dublin. To highlight a particular week of prayer during the Easter period the parish sought an imaginititive way to draw attention to the event titled "Candle Week".We had a huge 20ft inflatable built for the occassion and this will be displayed from the roof of the church during the event. See the photo below as an example of our ability to provide solutions to unusual requests!

Jan 14th 2010: Safety Training.

Both Eric & Barry O Sullivan recently participated in a safety inspectors training day organised by RPII in Stonleigh Park near Birmingham. The RPII or register of Play Inspectors International is the body that is responsible for the safety testing of inflatables and other activities related to childrens play.

This was done as part of our ongoing committment to safety as part of our everyday approach to business.Our mission continues to be to provide the best quality and safest equipment for our customers use.

Jan 5th 2010: Carousel aquire Midway Sound & Lighting

An added attraction to our Party Hire dept with the aquisition of Midway Sound & Lighting company by Carousel Enterprises. We have taken over the assets & ongoing contracts of Midway Sound & Lighting which now enables us to provide lots of variety in the sound & lighting dept. We can now offer complete sound & disco lighting units for both private & corporate events complete with  DJs if required. The lighting packages now available will enhance any wedding venue or marquee. We can offer fantastic value packages for all your entertainment needs now that we are the One Stop Party People.

Managing our new sound & lighting aquisition is Barry O Sullivan our operations director who has huge experience in the area of music & sound.

Dec 18th: Xmas Art Competition Ballina Winter Wonderland winners announced

Carousel Enterprises / Toons & Balloons are delighted to be the sponsors of a childrens art competition in conjunction with Ballina Chamber of Commerce's Xmas Shopping Promotion. Children in over 30 schools were invited to enter their picture for judging by Santa & a commitee of experts.Prizes were presented by Barry O Sullivan in the Ballina Chamber offices today.

 Dec 2nd :Xmas Cards 2009

We have decided this year that instead of sending Xmas Cards to our customers and friends that it might be more appropriate to put the cost to better use. So we will not send cards this year (we will be still thinking of you!) instead we are making a donation to the Society of St Vincent DePaul towards the Xmas appeal.

Dec 2nd: Ballina Xmas Shopping Extravangaza & Discount Offer

Ballina Chamber of Commerce is hosting a terriffic list of events over the weekends Fri 4th - Sun 6th & Fri 11th -Sun 13th to encourage shoppers and families into the Salmon capitol in the important weeks leading to Xmas.

Santa will be in his Grotto & lots of entertainment will be provided free on the streets of Ballina. The traders are offering discounts and great value will be the buzzword for the period. Carousel Enterprises as chamber members are participaing in this event with an offer of 20% discount on all marquees booked before the 28th Feb next and confirmed with a 25% deposit. Nov 22nd : Aillwee Cave Winter Wonderland.

We have been choosen to be marquee suppliers to the midwests premier Chrismas event in the fantastic Aillwee Cave in the Burren Co Clare. This year in addition to the fabulous Funfair & visit to Santa in the cave a traditional market has been added to the event and the Marquee to cover it was supplied by us. Its college time again and all the 1st year students will be getting into the swing of college life from today. Our tour of colleges providing a huge range of games & entertainment, begins with Athlone IT mon 14th & tues 15th.

Then its on to NUIG on weds 16th & thurs 17th. Mon 21st sees us in Trinity College Dublin for 3 days and in Sligo IT on tues 29th. We are looking forward to seeing you there check with your Student Union for details.

Aug 31st: Congratulations to Stephen Carroll & Nuala O Donaghoe who were married on Sat last in Furbo Co Galway. Stephen & nuala came over from London to have the wedding in Nualas homeplace. Carousel Enterprises supplied the Marquees & furniture for this event and we wish the happy couple well.

A very busy period during August saw us provide Fun Days & Teambuilding to companies all over Ireland including Bulmers, Coviden, Charles River Labs & Telephonica 02.

Aug 5th: New investment continues. despite all the doom & gloom in business circles we continue to invest in new and exciting equipment to enhance our range of entertainments.

Just in is an exciting Football Skills Challenge game which will offer a fun training method for soccer skills, available as an extra or on its own for parties & sports events. Also a new Inflatable Coconut Shy which really adds to the colourfull collection of stalls available.

July 27th: Yesterday saw another successfull Employee Fun Day staged on behalf of Ballina Beverages  a Coca Cola company. The day was an activity based event wich included athletics & wacky sports with fun activites including Bouncing Castles & inflatable games. A Marquee was provided to cater for the BBQ. Desite heavy showers the event was well attended and enjoyed by all.

July 8th:  All eyes are on Ballina Salmon Festival which starts on Friday next the 10th with the famous Ballina Street Rag a mixture of Fancy Dress Music & Madness.  Mon  13th sees the Its A Knockout Event in aid of Western Care which this years looks to have attacted about 30 teams from all areas of the town & beyond. The course has been designed by Barry O Sullivan of Carousel Enterprises and promises some spectacular challenges to test the strength and endurence of teams. Starts at 7.30pm in the Boys School.

The Teddysbears Picnic in the park on the Sligo road is a huge Free family day witrh all the best of Bouncy Castles & Inflatables from Carousel Enterprises along with Clowns. Facepainters etc starts at 2pm untill 5pm DON' MISS IT!!

June 27th: Dundrum Festival family day took place in the wonderfull grounds at Airfield House. Lots of entertainment was provided and Carousel Enterprises supplied the Inflatables for the 5th year running.

A first this year was the ballet performance which took place on our Big Circus bounce thanks to the Sylvia Behan School of Ballet from Kirwan St Dublin. See our  Big Circus on the Bouncy Castles page for photos of this spectacular sight!.

June 2nd: Bounceathon 2009 started today. The annual national schools fundraiser in aid of Western Care childrens services began today with entries from Balla NS & St Brids special school Castlebar. Bounceathon has raised over €106,000 for Western Care over the last 5 years. Lets hope it will be just as successfull this year despite the "recession". Lots more schools are due over the next 3 weeks.

May 22nd: Congratulations to Crone Jordan & David Lee who were married today in Lacken. The reception was held in a Marquee supplied by Carousel Enterprises in the spectacular setting of Kilcummin Harbour over looking the Atlantic in Killala Bay.

Crona & David came over from London to be married and had a special blessing at the Holy Well in Kilcummin before being brought by horse drawn carriage to the reception. Catering was by Castlehill Catering.

May 6th: Ballina Salmon Festival dates announced. This year the famous family friendly Ballina Salmon Festival will run from Fri 10th July to Sun 19th July.During the week there will be a myriad of entertainment options for young and old many of them Free. The big events will include National Heritage Day on Weds 15th.

Carousel Enterprises will be providing  the equipment for "Its A Knockout" on Mon 13th July in the Boys School Ballina which will involve teams from business & social organisations from all over Mayo. The proceeds will go to Western Care Ridgepool Center to support their work with people with special needs.

The BIG day for us is of course the TEDDYBEARS PICNIC on Sun the 19th where we will have all of the best of our childrens equipment on show and available FREE for use by the 5000 kids and families that attend this event. Make sure you don't miss it 2--5pm in the Park on Sligo Rd Ballina it great FUN!

Weds 29th April saw the launch of Mayo Bounceathan 2009 a joint venture between Carousel Enterprises / Toons & Balloons and the Western Care Association to provide a Bouncing Castle to every primary school in Co Mayo who in turn gather sponsorship to support the child care services provided by Western Care in the local area.

With the backing of the largest newspaper in the region the Western People a total of over E106,000 has been raised in the 5 years the event is running. Entries are now been taken for this fantasic fun event, make sure your school is involved.

The weekend of the 26th April saw us provided with an exciting challenge to provide marquee cover for the filming of part of an episode of the BBC Coast programme in the bog at Clifden overlooking the atlantic ocean.

The producers of Coast a highly popular BBC programe were recreating the Marconi wireless experiment in the exact spot where Marconi set up the worlds first wireless telegraphy station. In this very exposed area with very poor weather and wind conditions they choose Carousel Enterprises to cover the event with a 5x5m Pagoda which worked extremely well despite the conditions.
